Why does the wrapper crack?
The wrapper is the most delicate part of the cigar, and as such should be treated with utmost care. Follow some of these basic hints and hopefully you will see a reduction in the number of wrappers that crack:
* When ashing - don't tap the cigar. Instead, press the edge of ash on the side of the ashtray.
* When golfing - don't throw the cigar on the grass; the blades cut and break the wrapper. * Don't squeeze - Although some will tell you that's how to test for freshness, chance are you'll crack the wrapper instead.
* Smoke in stale air - Smoking on a windy day will dry the wrapper, causing it to crack.
* Handle with care in general
* Use more moisture in your humidor -- Sometimes a little humidity is all you need.

If the wrapper does crack try wetting the loose piece of wrapper and the cigar underneath with a little saliva. This should 'glue' it back together.
