Cutting
There are many different methods of cutting off the end of the cigar; some people use a V-cut or a hole punch, while others would rather bite the end off. We recommend a straight cut because it gives a clean cut, and when done properly does the least damage to the cigar.

No matter what your preference, the thing to remember when cutting your cigar is that all you want to do is take off the piece of wrapper sitting on top. If you cut too far down the cigar, you are not only shortening your cigar, but you are also cutting off the part that holds the wrapper on. This could eventually cause the wrapper to unravel.
